Taymour Grahne was born in London of Lebanese-Finnish descent, and studied International Relations before taking a Masters degree in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York. By the time he opened his eponymous gallery in Manhattan’s Tribeca district in 2013, he had already made his name as an expert on contemporary North African and Middle Eastern art through his popular blog, Art of the Mid East. The gallery works with contemporary artists, many of them based in New York, and he has already placed works in major museums worldwide.
