Dante Gabriel Rossetti painted few formal portraits, but his depictions of mythological and literary subjects are animated by the features of a few friends and lovers who sat for him repeatedly. This display at the Holburne Museum in Bath, which features a mix of famous paintings and lesser-known drawings and photographs by Rossetti and his circle, considers how the Pre-Raphaelites blurred the lines between the genres. The exhibitions from 24 September–9 January 2022; find out more from the Holburne Museum’s website.
