Sydney, Australia
‘Collecting is a way of life for us,’ says Paris Neilson (right) of her and younger sister Beau’s passion for art. The two are the daughters of Judith Neilson, who launched Sydney’s White Rabbit Gallery in 2009 to display her renowned contemporary Chinese art collection. They have followed their mother in becoming important patrons of the arts in their own right: Paris has been on the board for the Biennale of Sydney since 2011, and is on the Commiss-ioner’s Council for Australia’s representation at the Venice Biennale, while Beau sits on the board of Sydney Dance Company. Both are trustees of the Neilson Foundation, which supports museums and arts organisations across Australia.
