32 | Curator, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Poland
With her exhibition ‘Private Settings’ at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw in 2014, Natalia Sielewicz established an exploratory, interdisciplinary curatorial style. Undaunted by a topic as expansive as art in the post-internet age, Sielewicz programmed a series of talks and performances to accompany the exhibition, which were an examination of online identity and intimacy. The same discursive vein ran through her recent exhibition ‘Hoolifemmes’ (2017), which looked at female resistance through dance, and should distinguish her forthcoming show exploring violence and pleasure in the work of contemporary women painters (opening in May 2019). Equally involved in film, she runs the Museum of Modern Art’s annual film festival Kinomuzeum. Her writing has appeared in Artforum, Mousse and View: Theories and Practices of Visual Culture, and she is contributing an essay to the catalogue raisonné of the work of Miriam Cahn.
