Kamel Mennour to open London space | Paris-based art dealer Kamel Mennour has revealed that he is to open a new contemporary art gallery in London’s Mayfair, reports The Art Newspaper. Mennour’s announcement comes in the wake of fears that international dealers would exit the city as a result of the UK’s vote to leave the European Union in July.
American Museum of Natural History moves forward with expansion plans | The American Museum of Natural History in NYC has filed plans for a $325 million expansion. According to the Wall Street Journal, the extension will increase the institution’s space by around 235,000 sq ft, and will involve the demolition of three existing buildings. The plans have been amended from the museum’s original vision, in an attempt to address local concerns about the impact of the project on surrounding green space.
