Coinciding with the centenary of the publication of Joyce’s Ulysses, this show at the Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens in San Marino (15 January–2 May) considers how novelists and their readers have mapped out fictional worlds. Highlights include one of Joyce’s typescript drafts, Lewis Carroll’s 1876 edition of The Hunting of the Snark, Robert Louis Stevenson’s maps from Treasure Island and Kidnapped, and a board game from the 1890s inspired by the writing of Nellie Bly. Find out more from the Huntington’s website.
