Mamma Andersson

10 June 2021

The strange and sometimes unsettling paintings of the Swedish artist Mamma Andersson include quiet landscapes, claustrophobic interiors and studies of distant figures or sitters facing away. The scenes are drawn from a range of sources – Old Master paintings, found photographs, films, newspaper clippings. This exhibition at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art will include works from the past two decades as well as a new series of specially commissioned paintings; it runs from 17 June until 10 October. Find out more from Louisiana’s website.
