In Touch

27 March 2020

While museums around the world are shuttered due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Apollo’s usual weekly pick of exhibition openings will be replaced by a selection of digital initiatives providing virtual access to art and culture.

Following the lead of Tomás Saraceno’s exhibition ‘Aria’, which explored themes of interconnectivity and alternative futures (and was scheduled to run at the Palazzo Strozzi until 19 July), the ‘In Touch’ initiative uses artists’ videos, essays, and images to explore how art can bring us together at a time of physical isolation. Essays by the museum’s director Arturo Galansino reflect on the ideas raised in Saraceno’s exhibition; there are also videos with messages from artists including Saraceno, Ai Weiwei, and Marina Abramović. Find out more from the Palazzo Strozzi’s website.
