Gallery: ‘Painting Paradise’ at The Queen’s Gallery

16 March 2015

The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace celebrates the art of the garden this spring with a display of works from the Royal Collection. Gardens have long been a popular subject in the arts, and are invested with varied and sometimes conflicting meanings. The garden can be a sacred sanctuary, a site of study, or a place of enjoyment, and it represents a careful, negotiated balance between nature and civilisation.
