Camille Henrot has a thirst for knowledge. Her film Grosse Fatigue (2013), for which she won the Silver Lion at the 55th Venice Biennale, attempted to relate the history of the universe in 13 minutes – bringing together the scientific record and any number of creation myths. Working across video, sculpture, and drawing, Henrot’s restless inquiry into knowledge systems, technological development, human interaction and museology has brought her international acclaim. In 2017, she has had solo displays at the Kunsthalle Wien and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, and in the autumn will present a ‘carte blanche’ exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris.
