This week’s competition prize is Modern British Furniture: Design Since 1945, Lesley Jackson (V&A Publishing, £40)
British furniture designers have made a unique contribution to modern design, but their collective significance has previously been overlooked. Focusing on design ingenuity, this book explores the work of the most inventive British designers from 1945 to the present – from early post-war pioneers such as Ernest Race, Robin Day and Robert Heritage, to iconoclastic figures from the Pop era such as Peter Murdoch, William Plunkett and Max Clendinning, to today’s global superstars led by Tom Dixon, Ron Arad and Jasper Morrison. From legendary household names such as Ercol and Heal’s to contemporary innovators such as Established & Sons and SCP, this book highlights the achievements of more than 50 outstanding designers and companies.
For your chance to win simply answer the following question and submit your details below before midday on 11 October 2013.
