The Apollo Awards celebrate excellence in the art and museum worlds. They have been running in print since 1992, recognising achievements in the following categories: Personality of the Year, Museum Opening of the Year, Exhibition of the Year, Acquisition of the Year and Book of the Year. 2014 saw the creation of two new awards: Artist of the Year and Digital Innovation of the Year. Nominations are drawn from a 12-month period from late October 2014, and the resulting longlists are judged by the magazine’s Editorial Advisory Panel and staff, as well as regular contributors to the magazine. Since 2013, the awards have been celebrated with a dinner and ceremony in central London.
