Founding director, Fringe Manila Festival
Andrei Nikolai Pamintuan has spearheaded a variety of initiatives over the last decade, with the dual aim of developing the Filipino art scene and fostering inclusive spaces for the country’s queer communities. He is the founding director and producer of the Fringe Manila Festival; since being established in 2012 as a non-profit, open access event spanning everything from visual arts to cabaret, it has gone from strength to strength. Since 2015, Pamintuan also been the creative director of Pineapple Lab – a cultural centre and photography gallery that has become the hub for a growing community of artists and art enthusiasts. Pamintuan designed the Anakbanwa Residency Program in his home province, Pangasinan – participating artists focuses on addressing ecological issues, and on conducting workshops with local communities. He is currently an MA Researcher at the University of the Arts, London.
