New directors announced for 20 of Italy’s top museums

The Italian culture minister, Dario Franceschini, has just announced the new directors for 20 of the country’s leading museums. The appointments form part of a sweeping set of reforms intended to revitalise Italy’s troubled cultural sector. Each of the ‘Magnificent 20’ museums will be granted financial autonomy as part of the measures – and now we know who will lead them.
