The businessman and philanthropist A. Jerrold Perenchio usually keeps a low profile in the press, but has stepped into the spotlight this week to announce the gift of a large part of his art collection to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). His collection includes some exceptional examples of 19th- and 20th-century avant-garde painting, from the Impressionist experiments of Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro, to the post-war work of Marc Chagall and Jasper Johns. Below are just a few of the highlights: for Louise Nicholson’s full article about the gift, please click here.
Selections from A. Jerrold Perenchio’s gift will go on display at LACMA in the spring of 2015.
