Every morning until the end of Frieze, we’ll be rounding up some of the latest exhibition openings in London. Click here to view the whole series.
Silver
Until 17 December, at Frith Street Gallery
Frith Street Gallery is back on Frith Street, returning to its original premises 25 years after it first opened on the corner of Soho Square. They’re celebrating with an exhibition of major works from the gallery’s 25-year history, including pieces by Tacita Dean, Marlene Dumas and Cornelia Parker.
Irma Blank: To Be
Until 15 November, at Alison Jacques Gallery
Blank explores the ways in which the act of writing can affect and be translated into painting. This exhibition presents some of her earliest works alongside new creations.
Enrique Martínez Celaya: The Seaman’s Crop
Until 22 November, at Parafin
Martínez Celaya’s paintings, sculptures and installations are deliberately ambiguous. The artist sets the scene for a story with familiar backdrops, props and symbols, but you are never quite privy to the actual narrative.
Multiplied Art Fair
Until 20 October, at Christie’s South Kensington
As galleries and artists vye for attention during Frieze week, bringing out the biggest and most eye-catching of works, Multiplied champions a different sort of project: it’s dedicated entirely to artists’ books, prints, and sculptural editions.
